Here's the interesting fact of the day:
I stumbled upon a new way to clean an old spot! I have nearly ruined many a white shirt with, ahem, yellowing under the arm area. Embarrassing, but true. Until this morning, I had yet to find a way to take out the yellow without ruining the fabric or using harsh chemicals. I had read online about using baking soda to take the bleach spots out of white fabric. As I was brushing my teeth last night, I got to thinkin'... so I made a paste out of whitening toothpaste and baking soda. Yes, I did. I left it on overnight, and voila! This morning, the shirt was like new. I couldn't believe it... I'm very excited about my new discovery.

Well, that is too cool! I, too have that problem*blushing deeply*, so I am quite excited!
What toothpaste was it, may I ask?
Blessings,
Sommer
wow, that is a great idea!!!! I will definitely have to remember that!
Oh! that's a good thing to know! Thanks for sharing.
Does OxyClean fall under the category of "harsh chemicals"? :) That's what I have used before and it's worked very well. I second the question: what toothpaste brand did you use?
'Crest Whitening Plus Scope' is the toothpaste. I'd actually never tried OxyClean- I'd only tried the "traditional" cleansers... like Shout, Spray n Wash, and such. I'm just glad something finally worked for me! I'll keep OxyClean in mind too.
blessings,
Lauren
Thanks for letting us know what toothpaste! I will have to give this a try.

Aha! Thanks for the tip, Lauren! I have a favorite shirt that's showing signs of--wear. ;)
