One of my favorite songs!

And it isn't just because I'm a June Bride :) Well... that may be part of it.

I haven't watched that movie for a while, but I have seen it with my parents many times! Maybe I'll borrow it from the library ~ Dan has never seen it. Does your hubby watch it with you?

Another oldie I have seen is "Meet Me in Saint Louis.": ~ have you heard of it? It's set in the early 1900's and stars Judy Garland as a member of a large family. She falls in love with the boy next door! :)

They don't make movies like that anymore! :(

Hee hee, Heather... Colin watched it with me once... and it was almost torture for him :) He's not a big fan of musicals. I'll have to see about renting Meet Me in St. Louis! Movies today are almost always awful. I find those oldies so refreshing! It's one of the few movies I would feel completely safe showing little ones!

My sister had this movie when we were growing up. I remember watching it with a good friend who was visiting and her boyfriend (now her husband) and I really didn't expect Mike to like it. Turns out he thought the whole thing was quite hilarious - especially the "Bless Your Beautiful Hide" song. :)

I love that song, and in fact, the whole movie! Maybe we can watch it when I come down there. I think my hubby would start hyperventilating or choking or something terrible if I made him watch it.;)

I have that movie memorized and my husband even took me to a dinner theatre to see it performed with real people. So fun!

I think Howard Keel is so handsome. ;) Have you seen him in Calamity Jane and Annie Get Your Gun? I didn't care for him in Showboat, but he was handsome in Kiss Me Kate even though the movie was so-so. In Jupiter's Darling he plays Hannibal, in Three Guys Named Mike he's an airplane pilot [its not a musical], and in Texas Carnival he plays a cowboy!

Ok I rambled long enough.

I have to brag on my husband a minute. He will watch any movie with me ONCE. While we were courting he would actually look for older musicals to watch with me. One of my favorite early presents from him was the movie Three Little Words with Fred Astaire and Red Skelton. I gotta love a man like that!

I liked that song, it was really nice. But I have to admit, I don't have a clue what movie it is from! Could one of you help me?

Hee, hee! :D I love that song. But my favorite is "Goin' Courtin'". Oh, boy, it's been a while since I've watched "Seven Brides..."!
