Jane Austen Tea Party

Mrs. Wilt of The Sparrow's Nest was originally going to host a "Jane Austen Tea Party" where you took a picture with your favorite Jane book and a cup of tea. I think she got a bit busy though, because I haven't seen any postings about it! (Correct me if I'm wrong please!) Since I already took all the pictures, I decided to go ahead and do mine anyway!

Here is my teapot hard at work:

And my Peppermint tea from Tilly in my china cup (Thanks Tilly!):

And finally, Me in my Regency dress, sipping tea, and reading Pride and Prejudice. (Terribly staged, of course... I don't actually read with tea in one hand. Lol)

And a big thankyou to my sweet husband who lovingly puts up with my silliness and took the picture for me!

Also... I stayed up SO late tonight, and I'm HALFWAY done with my shawl! YAY! With some determined knitting this weekend while driving and while at the beach, I should hopefully be ready to wear it by next friday!

Oh that looks like so much fun!! I want to do it too...just as soon as I find my camera. :( Your regency dress is beautiful and I love your sparkely eye shadow! I can't wait to see pictures of your shawl!

ps) I'm glad you liked the tea!

I love it!!!! You even dressed up...I wish I'd thought of that ;-)
Of course, first I'd have to make my regency dress!

I'm glad I'm not the only one to do the tea party...Mrs. Wilt does seem to have gotten rather busy.

Thanks for sharing the pics:-)

Lots of love,
Sommer

Great dress! Nice happy post.

My husband will take pictures for me too. At least he's gotten used to it and doesn't roll his eyes so much. Gotta love 'em!
