The jars, continued...

I finished painting one jar today- which to my dismay turned out a little looking like a child had painted it :) Ah, well... painting is not one of my gifts. I'll have to wait until I get my September craft allowance to buy the candle for it- I spent the August allowance already :) Tee hee.

As you can see, I endeavored to paint a pumpkin in the foreground with a fall tree losing its leaves in the background. Tomorrow I hope to finish the kitchen one- painted with cherries of course!

I think that looks really nice. I'm sure I couldn't paint anything recognizable for my life. Whenever I have to paint I go for the "representation" theme... :-)random swirls of my favorite colors... :-)

Oh Lauren, I think that is lovely!! I think you did a great job...it looks so cute! I can't wait to try it now...after the glass primer, did you just use regular craft/acrylic type paints, or is there a special glass kind?

Much better job then I could've ever done! I'm horrible at painting, unless it's a wall. ;) It looks nice and fallish. :)

I think it looks great! Personally I think your artistic abilities are great! I can draw a stick person and that is about it.

I totally agree with all the above comments; Your jar is REALLY cute! I don't know what you're talking about not being able to paint!

Oh, and I don't know if it would be enough of a light, but I can often find BIG bags of like 100 tea lights at Wal-Mart for just a few dollars. I think they're the unscented kind...just fwiw!

Hehe, that's why I love stencils. I don't have much of a gift for painting myself. It looks super cute. I can't wait for fall myself. I was a fall baby, and it just ended up being my favorite time of year.

On the other hand you sound so completely organized having a monthly craft allowance. I'm a natural bargain hunter, but I'm afraid drawing up budgets isn't one of my strong points.
