Some Happy and Some Sad

Some happy:

Momma's birthday present...

I found some vintage postcards with birds and flowers on them a while back. I then bought a shadow box at Hobby Lobby for half off, and I was so excited when I found some little birds, eggs, and a tiny nest. A few fake roses and I was ready to craft! I copied the words from "His Eye is on the Sparrow". My momma loves little birds, so I thought she'd enjoy something like this in her kitchen.

Some sad:

Poor kitty is feeling awful. He didn't get his surgery since he was so sick. He spent all day at the vet being observed, and then came home last night. But he's still not well, and they don't know what's wrong. Here he is curled up with his lovey (mr. ferret). He hasn't eaten in days and is barely drinking any water.

Your prayers are much appreciated for my baby.

Awww, poor Ari! Its so sad when pets are sick, because they can't tell you what's wrong. Have you tried giving him some milk w/ egg yolk in it? That's what we used to give our kitties when they wouldn't eat.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. I hope gets better, soon!

Your shadowbox is quite lovely! The birds on the postcards look so dainty and old-fashioned.

The shadowbox is lovely -- How special that your mom will get a personalized gift, but one that looks professionally done!

I hope Ari feels better soon; it's so hard when you can't ask them "where it hurts." Praying that he gets better soon!

Yours in Christ,
Shannon

Dearest I will be praying for your little guy! It is so very hard when our "babies"(even the animal kind) are sick.

The gift for your mother is just lovely...you are so very talented!

Lots of love,
Sommer

Lauren,
I couldn't help noticing the picture of your kitten, and the daisies. I was wondering if you had a problem with her eating fresh flowers, as I know many flowers (i.e. poinsettias) are poisonous to cats. Maybe it's a place to start?

Just wondering how kitty is doing. Isn't it amazing how they become a part of the family .
