I apologize for the lack of posts this week- I had a bit of an emotional rollercoaster of a week. We thought I was pregnant- and then it turned out not to be. As such, I was definitely not in the mood for any crafting, or posting really. I was quite sad, but the Lord is faithful, and I take comfort in His Word and promises.
I was very happy to help hold a new baby after church today, and honestly that is the best "balm for the soul" in the world to me.
On a happier note- I think I'll be starting on.... *drum roll* Christmas projects! Needless to say, tomorrow will involve a visit to Hobby Lobby :)

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Oh Lauren, I am so sorry for your disappointment. I do know how you feel and it is such an emotional letdown. But just know when the time comes the joy will be that much more.

I am looking forward to your Christmas crafts. And make great use of your time before you do get pregnant. Your life will never will be the same nor will your time.

I know somewhat how you feel since I went through the same thing before I got pregnant with my first baby. . .waiting is so hard, but God's timing is perfect. The months before I got pregnant, after I was married, were the longest in my life! I couldn't wait for a baby! I will be praying for His blessings on you and for a little one for you and your husband when the time is exactly right. :)

Oh Sweety, that is so tough!! Before I got pregnant this time, Jenny was nursing allot! That really delayed my cycles from coming back in anything close to a normal cycle...so there were lots of pregnancy tests waisted and a great deal of disappointment. Don't worry...it will happen in His perfect timing and just enjoy your time all alone with Colin and your full nights of sleep until then!! I can't wait to see your Christmas projects!! Have a good week! (((HUG)))

I can understand your disappointment. God's timing is always perfect and I am sure that He will grant you the desires of your heart when the time is right.
Hugs,
Jenny

My dear sister....my heart goes out to you! I have a dear friend whose been married for many years and so badly desires to be pregnant. I know it can be such a hard and trying time. May the Lord give you much gracer and joy, and may He also give you your heart's desire - very soon!

Have fun with Christmas projects. I can't wait till Thanksgiving is over so I can start listening to Christmas music!

I completely understand how you feel. That was this last week for me too. Even had the doctor baffled so there were a barrage of tests to go with it and they weren't fun either.

I do know that things happen the way they do for a reason and that is what I'm telling myself. Having the faith to know and understand that is the hard thing. Trusting that knowledge is what gets you through each day.

I hope things go better for you and you have the little one you are longing for soon.

OH, Lauren! I wondered it that was why you were 'away'. I hope you feel better this week, and that the Lord renews your hope!
Keeping busy with Christmas projects is a good idea - looking forward to seeing what you are up to! :)

I am praying for you.
It was five years before I had a healthy baby, and I believe that I struggled with depression during my 2 miscarriages. Your 2 scripture choices (this post and previous one) are great. The Bible and hymns are what got me through.

Dearest Lauren~
I'm so sorry for your pain this last week. It is such a hard thing to want something so bad and to be dissappointed. I pray the Lord will give you peace as you wait on His timing and that He will bless you with a most wonderful gift.
Enjoy this time with your dear husband and keep your faith and hope strong.

I do look forward to seeing your craft for Christmas. You are so amazing! I'm sure I will be inspired:-)

Lots of love,
Sommer

Be patient my dear. You're very young and you don't want to push God's perfect timing. Be thankful for your life now and the time you have with your husband. When you do have a little one, things will change.. they will be wonderful, but different than what you are used to now. Be patient and trust the Lord.

Hello Lauren, You don't know me, but I heard of your blog through a friend of mine (who happens to be a mutual friend of ours) and I have read your past blogs frequently.
I would first off like to tell you what an encouragement you are to me personally! You have such a sweet spirit for such a young woman! You bless me time and time again with your writings.
I would also like to add that I am praying for you, and I would like to encourage you to continue to grow in God's grace. Often we may not understand the Lord's timing, however it IS perfect!
Take care, and I look forward to rejoicing with you when God chooses to bless your lives with a little one!
God Bless you!

Dear Lauren,
I'm a friend from the S&S board.

My heart goes out to you and I will be praying for you. My dh and I waited five years for our first child born here on earth (third known to the Father). It is hard and the weight of it can be so overpowering.

I encourage you to being studying the names of God. I struggled through depression during the time of our loss I truly believe that I was held up through the Holy Spirit as I studied and clung to the truth of God's character.

Remember...God does nothing to frustrate or withold from you...He longs to know you and for you to know Him deeply. He never wastes a single tear that is shed on this earth. You, dear one, can be such a glory to your Father God and your dh during this time when you focus on the truth of God's character. What a testimony to others! It can be hard to keep that perspective but as described in 1 John we know we are His when we abide in Him.

Sorry this got so long!
