It may not feel like fall, but I'll wear my fall clothes

In my ever present need to make it feel like "fall" :) I wore my corduroy skirt today. I made this in the style of the Tznius wrap skirts- with lots of extra wrap to prevent wind issues. I've always liked their skirts, but ouch, they're so pricey. I bought this material on clearance 80% off last March or so. Yes, so I've wanted to wear this skirt since March. :)

And by popular demand, haw haw... here is the latest project. I pretty much always have some sort of knitting or crochet project in the works- its wonderful to have when you want to relax without feeling unproductive. This one's been slow going since I'm new at crochet. Its the "Very Easy Ripple Shawl". When I saw "very easy" in the title, I knew it was the one for me! I taught myself the double crochet from the lion brand website- its actually very helpful!

I realize now from looking at the picture on the site, the little holes aren't supposed to waffle back and forth like mine do. But... I don't know WHY mine waffle back and forth, so I can't really fix it, and well, hmph, I kinda like it. :)

Cute skirt!! A few weeks back I started wearing "fallish" clothes hoping it would make it feel more like Fall... but wow, it's stayed humid and hot here. I will be so glad when the first cool front hits!

Oh you look lovely as always. Your crocheting is looking good too. Thanks for the encouragement on my knitting. I took it all apart again. I found a video online to watch and it appears I am doing it correctly but out the outcome of my efforts isn't looking very pretty. I am going to figure this out.... somehow sometime....

:) I love your shawl Lauren! And my "ripple holes" waffle back and forth too...maybe there are two kinds of crochetters in the world? ;)

I think your shawl is unique and pretty! I admire your craftiness since I have never knit or crocheted anything! Love your fall skirt. :) Have a great weekend!

Like your outfit and the shawl you're crocheting. I reckon I'll have to bite the bullet and learn to crochet (again). I've got some Christmas presents that need making and some yarn that needs making up.

I love that skirt! It is soooo fally:-)
I think the waffle ripples look great! I find that I do odd things when knitting...gives it character:-)

Pretty skirt! I crochet, too, only easy patterns and only once in a while! I did make each of my grandbabies a blanket and a very small matching one (for them to hold) when they were born.

I've been trying to make granny squares, but the hole in the center isn't usually in the center, and I don't know why, either! LOL!
