Vintage Fifties Housecoat

I've been watching Anna over at Pleasant View Schoolhouse sew beautiful things for a while now. I absolutely adore her vintage fashions. And I love her housecoats:

Want one for yourself now?

Here's where you start checking ebay for a pattern of your own...

Just in case you didn't guess it yet, I bought a pattern :)

I can just see it in flannel polka dots.

What a cute pattern! I can't wait to see it all made up.

I was also inspired by Anna, and bought a housecoat pattern a few months ago. Unfortunately, I don't currently have the fabric to make it!

I love vintage patterns! And all these fun blogs I am finding from Kelly & Andrea's site....
I stumbled upon some vintage apron and dolly patterns I am still waiting to try....

Love it! It's so wonderful to see a revival off all of these vintage patterns. Because it just wouldn't be environmentally friendly to let all of that paper go to waste! (Hey, any reason for sewing is a good reason :)

I know you've already been given a blog award, but I'm giving you one anyway! Stop over at my blog if you get the chance!

Yours in Christ,
Shannon
